Privacy Policy

(Status May 2019)

The protection of your personal data is important to us. According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Article 13 DSGVO), we are obliged to inform you about the purpose for which we collect, store or forward data and what rights you have with regard to data protection. The content and scope of data processing is largely determined by the data you provide, or the data required for the business relationship or communication.

Who is responsible for data processing and whom can I contact?
The data controller pursuant to Art. 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Rezi Microfaserprodukte GmbH (hereinafter “Rezi” or “we”), Saegerstrasse 41, A-6890 Lustenau. We collect and use your personal data exclusively in accordance with the statutory provisions. In the following, we inform you about the use of your personal data. You can access this information at any time on our website www.copperplus.at via the link “Data protection”.

Exclusively for the integrated web shop, the responsible party pursuant to Art. 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) is Natura Trading BV (hereinafter “NT”), Weegschaalstraat 3, NL-5632 CW Eindhoven. NT collects and uses your personal data exclusively in accordance with the statutory provisions in connection with the operation of the web shop integrated on the www.copperplus.at homepage.

What data is processed and from which sources does this data originate?
We process personal data that we receive from you, from a partner commissioned by you or from one of our business partners in the course of our business relations. In addition, we process data that we have permissibly obtained from publicly accessible sources (e.g. company register, address directory, media, trade fair participants). Personal data includes your personal details (such as title, name, country, address, e-mail address and telephone number, delivery addresses, order and invoice data, credit rating information, documentation data, trade fair meeting protocols, etc.).

For what purposes and on what legal basis is the data processed?
We only process personal data within the scope of our business activities. In addition, data processing takes place on the basis of legal requirements, on the basis of a contractual relationship or a pre-contractual relationship of trust, on the basis of your consent or when you contact us (for example at trade fairs, by e-mail, by post, by telephone or via this website).

In particular, personal data is processed during the following business processes or procedures:

  • Visiting the website and/or the web shop
  • Contacting
  • Consultation by our employees or by trade partners
  • Enquiry, offer, order processing, delivery, invoicing
  • Invoicing of trade partners
  • Due to legal obligations
  • Visitor registration, WLAN guest accesses
  • Applications

Within the scope of the business relationship, you must provide those personal data that are necessary for the establishment and implementation of the business relationship and which we are legally obliged to collect. If you do not provide us with this data, we will usually have to refuse your request or the reply to your contact enquiry, the conclusion of the contract or the execution of the order, or terminate an existing contractual relationship.

If you have given us consent to process your personal data, processing will only take place in accordance with the purposes and to the extent agreed in the declaration of consent. You can revoke a given consent at any time without giving reasons with effect for the future, insofar as this is legally permissible. Please note that the legislator classifies applications as a pre-contractual business relationship and application documents are kept for 6 months after the application process has been completed.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to store your first name and surname, your postal address and – insofar as we have received this additional information from you within the framework of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree and your profession, industry or business designation in summarised lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information on our products by letter post. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the address given in the postal mailing.

If we make advance payments, e.g. in the case of purchase on account, we reserve the right to obtain information on identity and creditworthiness from specialised service providers (credit agencies) in order to protect our legitimate interests.

Who is the recipient of my data?
We only transfer your data to third parties if this is permitted by law, you have consented, or the transfer is necessary to fulfil our business purposes.
If possible, the data will be anonymised or pseudonymised.
Within our company, your data will only be disclosed to those departments or employees who need it to fulfil our contractual, legal and supervisory obligations or to protect legitimate interests.

In addition, we transmit your data to order processors commissioned by us:

  • IT and hosting service providers
  • Security service providers, visitor login and registration
  • Credit institutions and payment providers for the processing of payment transactions for orders
  • Suppliers for the processing of product and sample orders
  • Sales partners, if they need your data to process your order
  • Transport companies, logistics companies
  • Laboratories and institutes for testing products
  • Agencies and service providers for surveys and marketing measures

Furthermore, data is transferred to public offices and institutions (tax offices, authorities, customs offices) if there is a legal or regulatory obligation to do so.
All order processors and sales and trading partners are contractually obliged to process your data only in the context of providing the service and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

How long will my data be stored?
We only store your data for as long as it is required for processing the business transaction or for complying with documentation obligations. Legal requirements demand that commercial letters are stored for at least 6 years, and with tax-relevant content for at least 10 years. Our IT systems also have extensive data backup concepts that do not permit premature deletion. In this case, access to data is restricted after the permitted storage period has expired. Application documents are stored or retained for 6 months after the job has been filled; if the application is made via a recruitment agency, master data must be retained for longer.

What data protection rights do I have?
You have a right to free information about the data we have stored about you and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent for data processing, you can revoke this consent for future processing.

To do so, please contact the office that last had contact with you in the first instance. You can also contact our data protection officer.
If you believe that we are processing your data in breach of European data protection law, please contact us to clarify your concerns. You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is not lawful.

How secure is my data?
We use state-of-the-art security measures to protect your data appropriately. Our employees, subcontractors and trading partners are obliged to comply with our information security guidelines.

When you use our website, technical data such as the IP address of your network, the date, time, time zone and status of the requested file, information about the website through which you came to our site, your browser type and the version of your operating system are transmitted to us for a limited period of time.

Data collection for contract processing, opening a customer account and contacting us
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us in the context of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide for the purpose of processing the contract and dealing with your enquiries. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you below. The deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

When is your personal data shared?
For the purposes described above, we may engage service providers, e.g. for the fulfilment of orders, the delivery of parcels, the sending of mail, e-mail and SMS, support for marketing campaigns, the processing of credit card payments or for customer service purposes. These service providers are bound by data protection and contractual agreements and act solely in accordance with our instructions.

Orders
If you would like to place an order in our web shop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we require for the processing of your order. Mandatory information required for the processing of contracts is marked separately, other information is voluntary. We process the data you provide to process your order. For this purpose, we may pass on your payment data to our house bank and to transport companies commissioned by us. In the case of individual orders under registration, we also request data that is required for payment with the respective means of payment you have chosen (“payment data”). We pass on your payment data to the relevant payment service provider, or it is collected directly by the payment service provider as part of the payment process. In our online shop, you can pay by credit card, prepayment, PayPal and, if activated, also by invoice. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

You can create a customer account, which allows us to save your data for future purchases. When you create an account, the data you provide will be stored revocably. For all other data, including your user account, you can request its deletion at any time via email to copperplus@rezi.at.

We may also process the data you provide to inform you about other interesting products from our portfolio or to send you e-mails with technical information.
After complete processing of the contract and complete payment of the purchase price, your data will be blocked for use and deleted after expiry of the retention obligations under commercial and tax law.
Depending on the selected payment method, we transmit your data (name, address and, if applicable, date of birth) to CRIF GmbH, Diefenbachgasse 35, 1050 Vienna, for the purpose of checking creditworthiness, obtaining information for assessing the risk of non-payment on the basis of mathematical-statistical procedures using address data. The legal basis for these transfers is Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Transfers based on these provisions may only be made insofar as this is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or third parties and does not override the interests of the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subjects which require the protection of personal data. Detailed information on ICD within the meaning of Art. 14 European Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), i.e. information on the business purpose, purposes of data storage, data recipients, right of self-disclosure, right to erasure or rectification, etc. can be found at the following link: https://www.crif.at/konsumenten/informationen-zur-dsgvo/. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

The ratings are not checked before publication. We reserve the right to delete reviews or block the display if they are objected to by third parties as unlawful or have no relation to the product being reviewed.

How is your personal data used?
We use the data obtained from your use of our website exclusively for the technical administration of the website and for statistical purposes. This information helps us to continuously improve your shopping experience and our website.
Information that you provide to us during your shopping experience is stored and processed on our web servers. We use this information to process orders, process payments, provide services, deliver goods and communicate with you. We also use your information to prevent or detect misuse, in particular fraud.
Insofar as we lawfully gain knowledge of your postal address, e-mail address or telephone number in the course of your purchase, we will otherwise only use your data without your express consent for legally recognised purposes, such as the execution and processing of the contract.

Data use for e-mail advertising without newsletter registration and your right to object
If we receive your e-mail address in connection with the sale of a product or service and you have not objected to this, we reserve the right, on the basis of Section 7 (3) of the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG), to regularly send you offers by e-mail for similar products to those you have already purchased from our range. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in addressing our customers in an advertising manner, which outweigh our interests in the context of a balancing of interests. You can object to this use of your e-mail address at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the e-mail, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

Newsletter
With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The advertised goods and services are named in the declaration of consent.
For the registration to our newsletter, we use the so-called double-opt-in procedure. This means that after your registration, we will send you an e-mail to the e-mail address you provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be deleted. In addition, we store your IP addresses and the times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify a possible misuse of your personal data.
Only your e-mail address is required for sending the newsletter. The provision of further, separately marked data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your e-mail address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can declare the revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter email or by sending a message to the contact details provided below.
If you are an existing customer of ours, we will periodically send you product information on similar products to the e-mail address you provided when placing your order. You can object to this sending of advertising at any time by sending the objection to the contact details given below or by clicking on the separate link provided in each e-mail. You will be informed of your right of revocation again separately in each e-mail. The legal basis for the processing of your email address in this context is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO

Cookies
In order to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser in such a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. Please note that if you do not accept cookies, the usability of certain services, such as the shopping function, may be restricted and that certain services or parts of the website will only function properly in conjunction with the setting of cookies.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
You can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which will prevent the future collection of your data when visiting our pages:
This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, thus making it impossible to relate them to a specific person. If the data collected about you is related to a person, this is immediately excluded and the personal data is deleted immediately.
We use Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

User conditions: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html, Overview of data protection: https://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html, as well as the data protection declaration: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
We also use Google Analytics to analyse data from AdWords and the Double-Click-Cookie for statistical purposes. If you do not wish this to happen, you can deactivate it via the Ads Preferences Manager (https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=de).

Google Adwords Conversion
We use Google Adwords to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Adwords). We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. In this way, we pursue the interest of showing you advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs.
These advertisements are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers”. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, through which certain parameters for measuring success, such as display of the ads or clicks by users, can be measured. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Adwords will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed) are usually stored as analysis values for this cookie.
These cookies enable Google to recognise your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Adwords customer’s website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognise that the user has clicked on the ad and been redirected to that page. A different cookie is assigned to each Adwords customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. These evaluations enable us to recognise which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising tools; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: Through the integration of AdWords Conversion, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider may obtain and store your IP address.
You can prevent participation in this tracking process in various ways: a) by adjusting your browser software accordingly, in particular the suppression of third-party cookies will result in you not receiving any third-party ads; b) by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”, https://www.google.de/settings/ads, deleting this setting when you delete your cookies; c) by deactivating the interest-based ads of the providers that are part of the self-regulatory campaign “About Ads” via the link https://www.aboutads.info/choices, deleting this setting when you delete your cookies; d) by permanently deactivating them in your browsers Firefox, Internetexplorer or Google Chrome at the link https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. We would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this offer to their full extent.
The legal basis for the processing of your data is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Further information on data protection at Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy und https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at https://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Social Media-Plug-ins
We currently use the following social media plug-ins: Facebook, Twitter. We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. You can recognise the provider of the plug-in by marking the box with its initial letter or logo. We give you the opportunity to communicate directly with the provider of the plug-in via the button. Only if you click on the marked box and thereby activate it, the plug-in provider receives the information that you have called up the corresponding website of our online offer. In addition, the data mentioned under § 3 of this declaration is transmitted. In the case of Facebook and Xing, according to the respective providers in Germany, the IP address is anonymised immediately after collection. By activating the plug-in, your personal data is transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (in the case of US providers, in the USA). Since the plug-in provider collects the data in particular via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser’s security settings before clicking on the greyed-out box.

We have no influence on the data collected and data processing procedures, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of the processing, the storage periods. We also have no information on the deletion of the collected data by the plug-in provider.
The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as a usage profile and uses this for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) for the display of needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plug-in provider to exercise this right. Via the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and other users so that we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, your data collected from us will be directly assigned to your account with the plug-in provider. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the plug-in provider also saves this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this will help you to avoid an assignment to your profile with the plug-in provider.
For further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider, please refer to the data protection declarations of these providers provided below. There you will also receive further information on your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy.
